Patient leaving TMS treatment chair, cured of depression.
Here at Princeton TMS Institute, we provide TMS therapy for depression, a revolutionary new drug-free therapy for people suffering from depression or treatment side affects.

We are a part of Princeton Psychiatric Center, a psychiatric practice with two psychiatrists, Dr Jeffrey Apter and Dr Wayne Macfadden.  Dr. Apter was an integral part of bringing ECT to Princeton, and is proud to offer this next generation of neurostimulation therapy for depression.  Unlike ECT, TMS is non-invasive and non-systemic, making it a safer, milder treatment appropriate for many cases of treatment resistant depression.

TMS therapy does not require sedation and patients can drive themselves to and from appointments.  Patients are awake and alert throughout treatment, and can listen to music, watch TV, or even surf the internet while treatment is being performed.
